Exercises to Prevent Common Golf Injuries
May 23, 2007
To those who don’t play, golf seems like a low impact sport. But golf provides a real physical workout and arm and lower back pain and injuries are common among golfers. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons recommends some preventive exercises so golfers can protect themselves against injury.
To avoid golfer’s elbow, suggests these simple exercises to help build up your forearm muscles.
Squeeze a tennis ball
Squeezing a tennis ball for five minutes at a time is a simple, effective exercise that will strengthen your forearm muscles.
Wrist curls
Use a lightweight dumbbell. Lower the weight to the end of your fingers, then curl the weight back into your palm, followed by curling up your wrist to lift the weight an inch or two higher. Perform 10 repetitions with one arm, then repeat with the other arm.
Reverse wrist curls
Use a lightweight dumbbell. Place your hands in front of you, palm side down. Using your wrist, lift the weight up and down. Hold the arm that you are exercising above your elbow with your other hand in order to limit the motion to your forearm. Perform 10 repetitions with one arm, then repeat with the other arm.

Tips For The Solo Musician: Just who are you?
by: Kevin Brown
So…just who are you? That is a question that every solo artist, solo musician, and every solo instrumentalist has probably asked themselves down through the years. The ones who can answer that question will find themselves on the road to a very eventful, and interesting musical career.
Who am I?…Who do I want to be?…Who do I sound like?…Who would I want to be like? These are all legitimate questions, and ones that should be asked. Every one has strengths, and weaknesses. We all have our differences. We all have different goals, and the way we want to achieve them.
To find ones self as a person is a great achievement. To find ones self as a person, and a great soloist is a great Blessing. To find ones self as a person…as a great soloist…and to want to share that with the rest of the world is a most honored desire.
It’s not a fact of being proud. No, it’s not a fact of being better than any, and everyone else. It’s not the fact of being able to do more than anyone else, or being in a class of “It’s me, and there’s no one else”. No…it’s not about any of these things.

Golf Swing Mechanics Can Be Improved Very Quickly
May 20, 2007
If you’re like most golfers, you’re always trying to duplicate that "perfect" golf swing. I know I am. Doesn’t it feel great to hit that effortless shot? Don’t you wish you could do it every time? That would be a similar feeling of what the pro’s have most of the time. It would be such a high!
So what’s keeping you from this goal? Do you think you just need to hit more balls? Or, are you already hitting hundreds every week? If that’s not working, do you need more golf lessons? Or, have you taken lessons but not seen improvement?
If it’s none of the above, then what?
I can tell you almost 100% for sure?it’s your BODY!
Your body dictates your golf swing. How many times have you felt like you can’t make a FULL turn or backswing? Do you think the solution is hitting more balls or taking more golf lessons?
It’s not! It’s improving your golf-specific flexibility and even strength.
Once you address and improve your physical limitations, your golf swing mechanics fall into place, with very little effort. Unless you don’t have a concept of what needs to be done to complete a proper golf swing, in which taking a golf lesson to understand it would be first priority.
A Look At How Boat Lifts Work And The Different Types

A Look At How Boat Lifts Work And The Different Types
by: Ignacio Silverstone
Boat lifts are used to lift the boat and store the boat above the water surface. Boat lifts are generally of two types. They are i) Hydro hoist model and ii) the Air-Dock model. Boat lifts are manufactured keeping in mind the different sizes of the boats.
Boat lifts work on the principle of lifts and hoists. In Hydro hoist type model there are float tanks that have a drain fitting at the bottom which is always open to the water. The boats are lifted with the help of hoists that are driven by heavy motors. The Hydro-Hoist boat lifts are of several types such as Boat Floater, Econo Lift and others. In the case of Air Dock the pressure of air is required to uplift the boat to a certain height above the water surface. With Air Dock type boat lifts there is a water tank which is filled and evacuated with the air pressure. Here the air is pumped in from the atmosphere to force the water out of the water tanks thus lifting the hoist. To lower down the hoists, one should vent the air pressure to allow water to fill the again tank.

Online Poker Tips- How To Become A Successful Online Poker Player
by: Steve Hill
This article is all about online poker. I have been enjoying playing poker on the internet for a couple of years now and in this article, I give free tips on how to become a successful online poker player.
For me playing poker is not just about attempting to win money, it is also fun. I love the fact that you can interact with other players from different countries. You have to be quite careful however as some of them attempt to wind you up. This is a well known tactic which some online players use, to entice you into betting to try to knock them out of the game. My advice in this situation is to ignore these people and to not even reply to their comments.
The turnaround of hands is a lot quicker than when you play in a casino or with your friends and it is wise to pick and choose carefully which hands you play and which hands you fold. I have played on some days when I think that I will never be dealt a decent hand. It is very tempting to try to make something happen by betting on a hand which in reality I know I should throw away. This is a risky strategy and you need to be patient as your time will come.
Taking the Odds Away from the House

Taking the Odds Away from the House
by: Sara Sentor
Gambling is an addiction many say and a risk that cannot be outmatched. The odds always favor the house and the player is simply waiting to lose all.
Yet, if a person is willing to logically proceed with the game and puts his emotions aside the house can lose.
It’s simple, the house always wins because the player never stops betting. You win $500 you say, “Hey its my lucky day” and bet again and again and again. The sure way to loss.
More tips at http://www.gamesnmore.org
The trick is knowing when to stop. Start with a plan. Think positive. Decide how much you are willing to bet and also how much you are willing to win. Lets says the $1000. Start with small bets and work your way to more. If you win continuosly, get up when you are on a high. Yes, thats the moment to stop. You have won $800 making a total of $1800 walk away.
The house allows only a certain amount to be won and lost per table. Walk away when you are feeling the ‘best’ and come back the next day.
What a Load of Golf Balls
May 17, 2007
Through out the history of golf the golf ball has evolved more than any other piece of equipment used in the game. From the very first wooden balls followed by the feathery to the latest 4 piece, high energy core, tungsten weighted, titanium, super thin covered, go further go straighter last forever golf ball, advances in science and the materials used in manufacturing has taken that little white thing to a new level of performance.
At the moment in my shop I have 36 different balls to choose from and there are plenty more types I could stock. This being the case it is difficult for a golfer to choose which is the right ball for them especially when they all claim to be the best thing since the couch potato was given the remote control.
The Number one
Titleist golf balls have been known for many years as ‘The Number 1 Ball in Golf’ and it is true that more tour players across the world use a Titleist ball. Some golfers think that if Ernie Els is playing with a Titleist then they should play with a Titleist as well, however, that is not necessarily the case. Believe it or not in amongst this huge selection there is the right ball for you and the ball you choose to play with needs to suit your requirements and level of skill.

Camping Tents - What The Tent Ratings Mean
by: Chris Morris
Been shopping for a new camping tent? Wonder what 3-season or 4-season means? Confused about what a family tent or convertible tent classification means? Let’s try to cut through all the marketing lingo and get down to what you should really look for when you see camping tent ratings or classifications.
When you get right down to it, you should think of a camping tent as either 3-season or 4-season. So what’s in a name?
Generally speaking your average 3-season tent is built to hold up well in light to moderate weather conditions. They are built to be comfortable in Spring, Summer and Fall in most any location, hence the name 3-season.
Three-season tents are generally more affordable than 4-season. You will find a vast range of 3-season tent quality from the cheap units found in big retail stores to expensive models found in specialty camping stores.
The downside of 3-season tents? These tents do not hold up well in high winds, torrential rain and heavy snowfall. 3-season tents are generally not the tent of choice for backcountry expeditions through Alaska in January.

Are You Clear On Your Spending Limits?
by: John Sorenson
So often gamers chase their losses. They lose ‘x’ amount of money and then spend that ‘x’ and perhaps more just to ‘win’ back what they lost. It can become a devastating cycle that can leave you flat broke. This is especially true with the ease of the Internet. Online gambling is very convenient and therefore implicates a problem if not controlled by you, the player. If you do a google search you may be surprised to find out how many people actually do play online. Some, however, have taken it to extremes and have found themselves in debt. This is why you really need to find that fine balance between ‘play’ and ‘addiction.’
A few tips may aid you in your quest for online play, but remember, always use your own judgement. I am just supplying you with the basics in which I have acquired through experience of my own.
