Perform Better Golf By Training Your Body
December 30, 2009
What will it take to get you to perform better golf? I’ll bet you’ve tried the gimmicky golf training aids. Did they work? How about equipment? How many drivers do you have in your garage? Am I getting your attention yet?
My approach to perform better golf is through training your BODY, not buying more equipment or taking more lessons. It is your BODY that plays the game, so focus on it and the sky is the limit.
I want you to think of yourself as an athlete. You probably were one at some point in your life. Did you ever do a workout for that sport you participated in? I’ll be the answer is yes.
Well now your sport is golf. And to perform better golf means training specific to golf. Not going into a gym and plopping down on a machine. Not working out like a body builder. But doing exercises that are very similar to your golf swing with resistance.
It angers me when I see all these so-called golf fitness books, programs and websites that say they are for golfers, but when I look into them, they are all just general fitness programs. I don’t want you to waste your time with programs like this.
Dirt Bike Parts

Dirt Bike Parts
by: Andrew Green
Many advocates of dirt biking will tell you that half the fun of dirt biking is buying a slightly clapped out old 250 and doing it up with new and second hand dirt bike parts until you’ve got as much performance and speed out of it as possible. Obviously, the nature of the dirt biking beast is that you will suffer damage to your bike. A Motocross hurtling 30ft in the air and then crashing back down to earth will cause damage to most bikes. The advantage of dirt biking is that the vehicles themselves are quite simple and you can pick up good parts for little money.
Be safe.
As with any bike, you should always be careful when buying anything that you intend to trust with your life. Of course not all parts for your bike need to be about performance and the look of your pride and joy will probably be just as important to you as the performance.
Be frugal.

All About Pool Cue Tips
by: Bob Meucci
Do you think that your choice in tips is the right choice or simply politically correct? What I mean by politically correct is, is your choice in tips controlled by the opinion of your peers or some professional player that you know, or is it based on fact? By the end of this article you should be able to answer this question for youself.
## What are the differences in tips? ##
As you probably already know, you have everything from very soft singlepiece animal skin tips from various types of animals (elk, cow, water buffalo and cape buffalo) to very hard single piece animal skins. There is also the laminated tips ranging anywhere from three to fifteen layers. The laminated tips also range from soft to extremely hard using various animal skins and tannages. The end result is a myriad of confusing choices. I would like to unmuddy the water for you somewhat. All of these variables can impact power, accuracy, and your sight picture.
Fitness For Golf Isn?t Just For The Pros
December 28, 2009
Fitness for golf is a common term on the television these days. I’m sure you’ve heard it a few times. The secret is out. Fitness for golf has come to the forefront of total golf performance.
Golfers have heard it enough. The golf swing is a physically abusive movement to the human body?unless you take the time to prepare for it.
I was watching the Golf Channel (I do that frequently) the other day, with Tiger on. He said it perfectly.
He said, "it would be absurd to think a football player, basketball player or baseball player wouldn’t physically work on his body to play better golf. Why wouldn’t a golfer do the same thing?"
I was sitting there saying, "thank you Tiger"?fitness for golf is here to stay.
If it takes the Number One golfer in the world to convince you?then I’m all for it.
How many times have you walked off the course or practice range with a twinge or two in your body? How about when you got home? Did it get worse?
What’s that tell you?
I hope you realize how important fitness for golf is, in not only helping your prevent injury, but utilize your true potential to it’s fullest.
Tips on How to Avoid Getting Lost While Hiking

Tips on How to Avoid Getting Lost While Hiking
by: Peter Shannon
Most people, while hiking or walking, don’t even think about the possibility of getting lost. Unfortunately this can lead to trouble. You are usually safe as long as you stick to established trails.
But too often, complacency can get you into trouble. You decide to take a shortcut across the trail switchbacks. You wander just a little ways off the trail to see a bird a little better.
All it takes is a momentary lapse of judgment and you can be lost. Don’t let this happen to you. A little preparation can avoid the problem.
The most important thing you can do to avoid getting lost is to use your head and be aware. Take a moment before you begin and then periodically while moving. Look where you are, where you are going and where you have come from. How does your position relate to your surroundings? Look around for landmarks. Note the position of the sun. Which way is north.
If you are planning to use an established trail make sure you know exactly where it will take you and how long the trip will take. Know what turnoffs you will encounter along the way.

Eurobasket 2005: France knocks out Serbia 74:71
by: Damir Jovanovic
Everything started good and Zeljko Obradovic’s players have built a good 23:18 score at the end of the first quarter, but as the game was closing to and end, quarter by quarter the French have boosted up their pace and took the lead at the beginning of the last period, and ended it 71:74 in their favor with what they shortened the whole host nation to see their team in the Quarter Finals.
Quarter One
Serbia & Montenegro 23 France 18
The Serbs chose to begin with Marko Jaric and Igor Rakocevic as the playmakers and Radmanovic and Milan Gurovic as frontmen and Zeljko Rebraca was the only center. For one minute and twenty seconds the French had a 0:4 lead but Radmanovic neutralized it with a three pointer and Marko Jaric brought the Serbs the lead 5:4. At the beginning of the fifth minute Rebraca made a fantastic dunk with both arms over Julien and it was 77 just so Jaric regains the Blues their lead and increase it with a three pointer 12:9. By the end Rakocevic scored six points, Jaric two more and Rebraca two more to make it 23:18. On the other side Antoine Rigaudeau has played his best match so far, but let’s just stick to the first quarter he netted 5 pts out of what one was a three pointer, and Mickael Gelabale did the same, what kept the French in life.
This Aint Golf! Its Cricket!
December 25, 2009
Go on, admit it, you have never read an article on cricket before, right? But wait, this aint no ordinary cricket, this is the Ashes! The Ashes? Yes, the series between England and Australia that dates back to the 1870’s. The two old foes locked in combat in England throughout the summer.
Australia, world number one, world champions, such a wonderful side that have lauded it over world cricket since the demise of the great West Indian team ten years ago. But England too, and it is England, not Great Britain, have been on the rise. They have defeated all of their main rivals, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and the West Indies, and only the mighty Australia now stand in their way at the summit of world cricket.
Some say that Test cricket (that’s the 5 day variety, I kid you not, and even then the match could be a draw) is a dying sport, some say it has no future, some say the kids of today don’t have the patience to watch a match for five days. It is doomed. Well, as that American general so eloquently replied to the Wehrmacht when surrounded at Bastogne, "Nuts!"

If you want a good camping vacation and want to find gold I have just the spot for you. Princton BC was noted for the gold found in the late 1880’s. You will find Granite city which is now a ghost town. Lots of gold and platinum was found in the area.
To get to the gold camping ground from Vancouver BC take the number one highway to Hope. Be sure to spend some time exploring the area as the gold miners used hope as a jump of point to the Caribou. As you leave hope you will that route 3 towards Manning Park. After arriving at manning park for a short stop you are only 40 minutes to the camping site.
The park has lots to offer including a restaurant, visitor’s booth, restrooms, and park tables on green grass for you to rest. You will find a dog play area as you turn off the highway and enter the park it is just on the right side as you enter. Be sure to pick up after your pet the park supply’s containers for this.
Examining Martial Arts Styles

Examining Martial Arts Styles
by: Jake Ross
Generally speaking the term “martial arts” creates the mental picture of a person in white kicking with a leg or chopping with an arm. This illustrates one of a number of misconceptions associated with the martial arts, in particular the belief that there are only a handful of martial arts styles. The fact is that there are a multitude of different martial arts styles.
Perhaps the best known of the martial arts styles is karate, a form of martial arts that began to take root more firmly in countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom during the post war years of the 1940s. Karate originated on an island known as Okinawa. Ultimately, the Japanese invaded Okinawa in the 17th century. By the 20th century, karate masters from Okinawa were teaching karate on the Japanese mainland (at which time the term “karate” actually was brought into common usage).
During the 1940s, many of these different styles became better known to people living all over the world. The practice of many different martial arts styles became more prevalent in western nations during this period of time. (Additionally, two new martial arts styles came into formal existence during the 1940s.)
